The Palmetto Ridge Bears will venture away from home to face off against the Southwest Florida Christian King at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southwest Florida Christian took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Palmetto Ridge, who comes in off a win.
Palmetto Ridge can't be too worried about heading out to take on Southwest Florida Christian: they just beat Fort Myers at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Bears skirted past the Green Wave 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bears have posted since March 11th.

Greg Corrasco was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. He has become a key player for Palmetto Ridge: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three hits, but 7-10 otherwise.
In other batting news, Tommy Cox was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in February.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Southwest Florida Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Out-of-Door Academy by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the King's couldn't push the score so high this time.
Leo Montufar was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over 6.2 innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in February.
At the plate, Reed Guess was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.
Palmetto Ridge has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Southwest Florida Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.
