Despite the loss, Covenant Academy had strong showings from Ryan Stevens, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds, and Blake Bartow, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. Stevens is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Lucas Fisher, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
First Presbyterian Day's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Covenant Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
Keep an eye on the arc in Saturday's contest: First Presbyterian Day have made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having only averaged 6.8 threes per game. It's a different story for Covenant Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 4.8 threes per game.
