T.W. Andrews (High Point, N.C.) kept up a steady attack all game long to beat
Grimsley (Greensboro, N.C.), 35-7, on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Marquell Cartwright in the second quarter, the Red Raiders led 21-7 at the half.
T.W. Andrews expanded its lead to 28 points entering the fourth quarter. TWA scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run.
Grimsley's only touchdown came on a 2-yard run in the first quarter.
The defeat comes as a step back for Grimsley, who notched a 32-0 victory over Southern Guilford in its previous outing. The loss snapped Grimsley's two-game winning streak.
Grimsley (2-1) will play a non-conference game against T.W. Andrews next week, while T.W. Andrews (2-1) will take on Grimsley also in a non-conference game.
