Triston Handson Delivers Best Performance of Season
Triston Handson produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Sinton to the win on Friday. Handson rushed for 208 yards and three touchdowns. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (104.7). Those 208 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
Handson is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Ingleside on Friday. Handson rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, and also threw for 99 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Mustangs duked it out back in November of 2023.

Jace Gamez's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Cuero over Sinton
Jace Gamez continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his 11th-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least ten total tackles. He forced a fumble and made 19 total tackles.
Cuero's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-3. Gamez and Cuero will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Ingleside at 7:00 p.m. on November 1st.

Big Game from Alvarado As Rockport-Fulton Won 49-14
Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Traey Alvarado stepped things up a notch to give Rockport-Fulton the 'W'. Alvarado turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 102 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 50 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
This season, Alvarado has run in 9 touchdowns while averaging 72.1 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season, he was only averaging 28.63 rushing yards per game.

Walker Dietze Makes It Two for Cuero
The second Cuero player making an appearance here is Walker Dietze, and for good reason. He picked up 135 receiving yards and a touchdown.
For the season, Dietze has caught 12 touchdowns while averaging 97.9 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 25.75 receiving yards per game.
