Bishop Feehan has gone a perfect 4-0 against Cardinal Spellman recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Shamrocks will take on the Cardinals at 3:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
As a matter of fact, Bishop Feehan put up the most runs they have all season on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Arlington Catholic with a sharp 14-4 win. The Shamrocks have beaten the Cougars the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Cougars has come to flipping the script.

On the hitting side, Andrew Shute was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one triple the last three times he's played. Colin McEwan also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Meanwhile, Cardinal Spellman made easy work of Southeastern RVT on Saturday and carried off an 18-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cardinals.
John Petruzzo made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Petruzzo was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-3.
In other batting news, Cardinal Spellman got a massive performance out of Brady Flaherty, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Declan Obrien was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Cardinal Spellman always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .657. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Bishop Feehan pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Cardinal Spellman, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Friday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bishop Feehan hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .357. However, it's not like Cardinal Spellman struggles in that department as they've averaged .338. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bishop Feehan skirted past Cardinal Spellman 4-3 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Shamrocks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
