The Lawrence County Red Devils pushed their score all the way to 66 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 77-66 to Russellville. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lawrence County in their matchups with Russellville: they've now lost seven in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Lawrence County lost, one person who can't be blamed is Braylon Dame. Despite the final result, he scored 32 points along with eight rebounds. It was the first time this season that Dame pulled down eight or more rebounds. Zander Keepers was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Lawrence County now has a losing record at 14-15. As for Russellville, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.
