Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Taylor County). They came out on top against the Macon County Bulldogs by a score of 68-56 on Tuesday. The victory was just business as usual for the Vikings, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.

Leading Taylor County to victory were Jaydah Ford and Alasia Montgomery. Ford almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds, while Montgomery posted 22 points and three steals. That's the most points Montgomery has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Eliana Brown, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards.

Taylor County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in seven consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, Macon County still got an impressive performance from Morgan Cochran, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 12 rebounds. The game was Cochran's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Towanna Cochran, who earned 11 points and six boards.

Taylor County pushed their record up to 11-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Macon County, they moved to 7-2 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Taylor County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 51-34 victory against Chattahoochee County on the 14th. As for Macon County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 43-37 defeat against Manchester on the 8th.
