Whitinsville Christian and Blackstone Valley RVT are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2016, but not for long. The Whitinsville Christian Crusaders will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Blackstone Valley RVT Beavers at 6:30 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Whitinsville Christian didn't have too much trouble with Assabet Valley RVT on the road as they won 55-37. The victory was just what Whitinsville Christian needed coming off of a 59-35 defeat in their prior game.
Whitinsville Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cam Desmarais out in front who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Desmarais has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Caleb Deters, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Blackstone Valley RVT came tearing into Thursday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 54-47 victory over Sutton.
Whitinsville Christian's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-8. As for Blackstone Valley RVT, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season.
