The Mt. Healthy Fighting Owls will be home for the holidays to greet the New Richmond Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Healthy is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
Last Friday, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Mt. Healthy had to settle for a 56-53 loss against Harrison.
Meanwhile, New Richmond's five-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They pulled ahead with a 43-42 photo finish over Bethel-Tate.
New Richmond's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ryan Keith, who scored nine points along with six steals. That's the first time this season that Keith grabbed two or more steals. Another player making a difference was Rylan Utter, who scored 11 points.
Mt. Healthy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for New Richmond, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-5.
