For the first time this season, Columbia Central will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Tuesday. They will host the Spring Hill Raiders at 10:00 a.m. Columbia Central is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Columbia Central's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 16-0 margin over Battle Creek. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 15 runs or more this season.
Ruthie Lindsey made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in May of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and one triple.

In other batting news, Molly Underwood was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Alexis Oliver, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and two doubles.
Columbia Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .742. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Spring Hill's offense. They lost 17-0 to Warren County on Thursday. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Pioneers & Lady Pioneers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Columbia Central pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Spring Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Spring Hill's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Columbia Central hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .552. It's a different story for Spring Hill, though, as they've only averaged .191. Will they be able to contain Columbia Central's hitters?
