East Greenwich lost against Mt. Hope back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Avengers lost to the Huskies at home by a 28-13 margin. While the Avengers had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Huskies 6-0.
East Greenwich's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Christian Bussiere, who picked up 175 receiving yards and one TD. Bussiere showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 69 yards. Another passer making a difference was Mark Bradshaw, who threw for 270 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Robert Annis went supernova For Mt. Hope., rushing for 140 yards and four scores. Annis also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making seven total tackles and defending two passes. Will Francis helped out on the ground, rushing for 80 yards.
East Greenwich's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Mt. Hope, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
