The West Point Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 25 points or more this season. They took their contest on the road on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 69-40 win over Pell City. Winning may never get old, but West Point sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Pell City's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reagan Tarver, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Saniya McFarlin, who scored 12 points.
West Point has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Pell City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-5.
West Point won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Fort Payne at 5:00 p.m. on December 21st. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Fort Payne is ranked 64th, while West Point is ranked 61st). Pell City will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Scottsboro at 6:00 p.m. on December 28th.
