Brimfield came tearing into Saturday's game with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 14-6 margin over the Cuba/Spoon River Valley Wildcats. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won 14 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Brady Johnson, who went 4-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaeden Schatsiek, who went 2-for-5 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Brimfield's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-4-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Cuba/Spoon River Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-11.

Brimfield didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 18-2 victory against Stark County on the 7th. As for Cuba/Spoon River Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 10-0 win against Midwest Central on the 5th.
