Stringer has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Piney Woods Tornadoes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
Last Tuesday, Stringer had to suffer through a rough 67-37 loss at the hands of the Gators. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Stringer in their matchups with the Gators: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, Piney Woods waltzed into their match on Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They came out on top against Mount Olive by a score of 46-39.
Jeovani Kazadi was his usual excellent self, scoring 31 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Murangira Lincoln, who scored nine points.
Stringer dropped their record down to 5-19 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Piney Woods, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.
Stringer ended up a good deal behind the Tornadoes in their previous matchup on Friday, losing 58-42. Can Stringer avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
