Crab Orchard put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Norris City-Omaha-Enfield Fighting Cardinals get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. Adri Ortega made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 17 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 11 contests.
In other batting news, Drew Besheres was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Jada Burnett-Hatton also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
