Last Tuesday, Immanuel Baptist came up short against Faith Christian and fell 47-36. Immanuel Baptist has not had much luck with Faith Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, Juniata Christian also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Community Baptist Christian by a score of 39-27.
Despite their defeat, Juniata Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jack Bryan, who scored nine points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Nathan Wright, who scored six points along with eight rebounds.
Immanuel Baptist's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-3. As for Juniata Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Immanuel Baptist took their win against Juniata Christian in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 50-30. The rematch might be a little tougher for Immanuel Baptist since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
