On Friday Salem Academy take on Corbett at 7:00 PM. Salem Academy are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the contest prepared for a fight.
The match between Salem Academy and Scio last Friday was not a total blowout, but with Salem Academy falling 20-35, it was darn close. Salem Academy got a solid performance out of senior Cole Hardy, who passed for 167 yards and 2 touchdowns; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the victory.
Meanwhile, their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Corbett, but their most recent match may have softened the blow. They snuck past Blanchet Catholic with a 6-0 win. The win was a breath of fresh air for Corbett as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Corbett's win lifted them to 1-4 while Salem Academy's defeat dropped them down to 1-4. We'll find out if Corbett can add another positive mark to their record or if Salem Academy can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Corbett's step.
