The Aquinas Academy Crusaders were the 32-24 winner over the Tome Titans when they last played one another back in January of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. Aquinas Academy fell 51-38 to Tome on Friday.
Tome's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Griffith, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Herold Beljour Jr., who scored 16 points.
Aquinas Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Tome, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Aquinas Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on West Nottingham at 5:30 p.m. on December 11th. As for Tome, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Providence Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
