The Glen Lake Lakers will be home for the holidays to greet the Brethren Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Glen Lake escaped with a win against Frankfort by the margin of a single free throw, 30-29. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Glen Lake has scored all season.
Glen Lake got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Eleanor Valkner out in front who scored four points along with 14 rebounds and three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Ava Raymond, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Brethren on the road against Mason County Eastern on Thursday as the squad secured a 57-8 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Brethren.
Glen Lake now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Brethren, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
