Rocky Mount Academy came into Friday's game looking for another win against DASH, but Stephen Edwards wouldn't allow it. The United secured a 64-60 W over the Eagles on Friday with plenty of help from Edwards, who posted 28 points. The matchup was his fourth in a row with at least 15 points.

When it comes to explaining why Rocky Mount Academy lost, don't look at Jalen Pearce. Despite the final result, he earned 19 points. Pearce has become a key player for the Eagles: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 15 points, but 1-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Holden Haggerty, who scored 11 points.

The win made it two in a row for DASH and bumps their season record up to 8-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points over those games. As for Rocky Mount Academy, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-7.

DASH wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 67-53 loss against Chatham HomeSchool on the 16th. As for Rocky Mount Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-53 defeat against Wayne Christian on the 15th.
