Softball Recap: Winslow Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

Winslow won the last time they faced Snowflake and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Lobos with a sharp 8-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Kyah Wilcox made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits. Wilcox was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Angela Salazar was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Kendra Ybarra was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

Winslow is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Snowflake, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Winslow will welcome Chino Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Snowflake, they will host Payson at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
