Baseball Recap: Case Wins Going Away Against Bourne

After only two runs in their last matchup, Case made sure to put some runs up on the board against Bourne on Monday. The Cardinals blew past the Canalmen 10-1. That looming 10-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Cardinals yet this season.

Jackson McLane spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Zachary Kern was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Jacob Weisburgh also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

The victory got Case back to even at 4-4. As for Bourne, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Case will take on rival West Bridgewater at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Bourne is set to face off against their familiar foe Seekonk at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
