In other batting news, South Eugene got a massive performance out of Gino Humphrey, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Brendan Van Ryzin, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
South Eugene's victory bumped their record up to 3-13. As for McNary, they dropped their record down to 3-14 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Eugene will face off against Grants Pass at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
