In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emmalena Cotton, who went 2-for-5 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Corabella Papalambros, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Even though they lost, Noxapater kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Nanih Waiya's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-9. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Noxapater, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Nanih Waiya has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .546. However, it's not like Noxapater struggles in that department as they've averaged .440. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
