Haxtun and Holyoke are an even 5-5 against one another  since December of 2021, but  not for long.  Meanwhile, Holyoke was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight  defeat. They had to suffer through a   57-24 loss at the hands of Chase County. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states  (they are ranked 215th in Colorado, while the Longhorns are ranked 94th in Nebraska).
 Haxtun's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Holyoke, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.
 Haxtun was able to grind out a solid  victory over Holyoke in their previous meeting  two weeks ago, winning  47-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Haxtun since the  squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
