Somerset Academy had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past the Avant Garde Academy Sharks 3-0 on Monday. The matchup marked the Panthers' most dominant win of the season.

Somerset Academy never let Avant Garde Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-15, 25-21.

Ethan Cruz paced Somerset Academy's offense, picking up 11 kills. Cruz got some help from Simon Morales and his 21 assists. Tyler Cabrera and Daniel Bayona kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with five aces apiece.

Somerset Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Avant Garde Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-12 with the loss, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Somerset Academy will welcome McArthur at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Avant Garde Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Academy for Innovative Education at 4:00 p.m. The Sharks are facing the Aviators at the right time seeing as the Aviators are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
