It was a good run, but North Sand Mountain unfortunately witnessed the end of their 13-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Deshler Tigers by a score of 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bison have suffered since March 23, 2024.

Jackson Burgess and Cooper Pierce did some serious damage despite the final result: Burgess scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Pierce got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI. Another player making a difference was Levi Burgess, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

North Sand Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 18-3. As for Deshler, they moved to 16-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, North Sand Mountain will face off against Ranburne at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Deshler, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Deshler Tigers duke it out with Brooks Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
