On Thursday, Altamont had just enough and edged Red Bud out 44-42.
Altamont's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaidyn Miller, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. Miller also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Aden McManaway, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Altamont has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Red Bud, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Altamont will be staying on the road on January 5th to face off against Dieterich at 6:00 p.m. on January 5th. As for Red Bud, they will challenge Okawville at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Okawville is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
