Sequoyah can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the Tyner Academy Rams. The Chiefs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by eight runs or more this season.

Sequoyah got a massive performance out of Dru Sasser, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Sasser has become a key player for the Chiefs: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-15 otherwise. Luke Brackett also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Sequoyah's record is now 8-15. As for Tyner Academy, they dropped their record down to 4-16 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Sequoyah will square off against Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Tyner Academy, they will challenge Lookout Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
