Lapel is 6-1 against Madison-Grant since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Bulldogs are taking a road trip to square off against the Argylls at 5:30 p.m. Lapel is coming into the contest hot, having won their last ten games.
On Monday, Lapel made easy work of Heritage Christian and carried off a 12-2 victory. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 games by seven runs or more this season.

Rylie Hudson made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Darl Gustin, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Eli Suchocki was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Lapel lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Tuesday as neither Madison-Grant nor Frankton made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Argylls had just enough and edged out the Eagles 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Argylls have posted against the Eagles since April 22, 2019.
Dylan Martin was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. Harry Brooks also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Lapel pushed their record up to 20-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.4 runs over those games. As for Madison-Grant, their record is now 13-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Lapel has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Madison-Grant struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Lapel took their victory against Madison-Grant in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
