The Roy Royals will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bountiful RedHawks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing isn't great for Roy: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Bountiful has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road.
Last Friday, Roy was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 54-53 to Woods Cross.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Dahlen Pontius, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Colby Frokjer, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Bountiful can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They breezed by Clearfield at home to the tune of 76-48.
Roy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season. As for Bountiful, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.
Roy beat Bountiful 60-50 in their previous meeting back in January. Will Roy repeat their success, or does Bountiful have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
