The Sky View Bobcats will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Bountiful RedHawks at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to post eight more assists than your opponent, a fact Sky View proved on Friday. They walked away with a 42-29 win over Roy. That's two games straight that Sky View has won by exactly 13 points.
Makena Smart was the offensive standout of the game as she dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Karlee Allen was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with 5 assists.
Meanwhile, Bountiful took their matchup at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 54-26 victory over Spanish Fork. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 32-12.
Bountiful can attribute much of their success to Taylor Harvey, who scored 16 points along with 8 rebounds, and Milika Satuala, who scored 16 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Harvey has scored at least 25% of Bountiful's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adelaide Stevenson, who scored 7 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Sky View and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Bountiful, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Sky View was taken down by Bountiful 62-34 in their previous meeting back in January. Will Sky View have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
