Canyon del Oro has won 19 straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Catalina Foothills has won 19 straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Dorados will host the Falcons at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Canyon del Oro's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They put the hurt on Sahuaro with a sharp 16-0 win. The Dorados haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Peyton Carson was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

In other pitching news, Zane Moffitt looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.
Back at the plate, Tarrell Reid was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Maximus Hendrix, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
Canyon del Oro kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive matchups.
Catalina Foothills came out on top against Casa Grande on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run second inning. The Falcons were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Cougars. That's two games straight that the Falcons have won by exactly seven runs.
Yaxel Ledesma and Ganon Dwyer made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Ledesma tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Dwyer tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. At bat, Ledesma went 2-for-3 with two RBI, while Dwyer went 1-for-3 with three RBI.
In other batting news, Cooper Kruk was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.
Catalina Foothills is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Canyon del Oro, their victory bumped their record up to 20-5.
Both Canyon del Oro and Catalina Foothills just can't seem to miss. The Dorados have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.2 hits per game. However, it's not like Catalina Foothills struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.2 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
