In what's become a running theme this season, the Bishop Manogue Miners gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They breezed by Galena on the road to the tune of 63-25. The victory was nothing new for Bishop Manogue as they're now sitting on 14 straight.
Bishop Manogue got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Fa'anaetaua Puloka out in front who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Puloka has scored all season. Violet Gordon was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Bishop Manogue pushed their record up to 15-1 with that victory, which was their 17th straight on the road. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 27 points. As for Galena, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Manogue will take on Damonte Ranch at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Damonte Ranch focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Tuesday. As for Galena, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Spanish Springs at 3:30 p.m.
