Mechanicville moved up to 216 from 278 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Section 2 C - North. The Red Raiders were able to make move up by beating Watervliet 40-0.
Hoosick Falls extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Voorheesville, 69-14. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Panthers.
Corinth's dynamic duo of Blake Basmajian and Zac Lucia proved tough for Taconic Hills to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Basmajian threw for 167 yards and three touchdowns and Lucia had 122 yards receiving. Andrew Jenkins helped Corinth's passing attack out by catching two balls for 33 yards.
Brad Burns was the most productive running back in the league this week. In seven carries, he ran for 133 yards as Hoosick Falls topped the Titans. Brandon Hodges also contributed to the rushing game with 63 yards on the ground.
Hoosick Falls' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Billy Pine has thrown for 1043 yards and 17 touchdowns this season, while Randy Tutunjian has 19 catches for 523 yards. Burns leads the league in rushing with 1275 yards.
Ron Jones' team took down the Blackbirds 69-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Pine threw for 141 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 28 yards in the win.
