It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Grace Prep Lions had no problem doing just that on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 37-13 margin over Brook Hill. Considering Grace Prep has won four games by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Grace Prep got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaden Lehew out in front who rushed for 219 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. Lehew really tore up the turf during one magnificent 93-yard run. Grace Prep also got a significant boost from Bryce Prince, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 133 yards.
The win makes it two in a row for Grace Prep and bumps their season record up to 5-6. As for Brook Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.
Grace Prep is on the road again on Saturday and play against Trinity Christian. Trinity Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Grace Prep in Texas (Trinity Christian is ranked 284th, while Grace Prep is ranked 833rd). Brook Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
