The Mifflin County Huskies fell victim to the Bishop McDevitt Crusaders''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were outmatched by the Crusaders on the road and fell 42-0. Mifflin County has struggled against Bishop McDevitt recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Stone Saunders was his usual excellent self, throwing for 287 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.4% of his passes. Saunders is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last seven games he's played. Rico Scott did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 97 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Mifflin County now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Bishop McDevitt, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mifflin County will challenge Red Land at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Red Land is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. As for Bishop McDevitt, they will head out on the road to face off against Lower Dauphin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lower Dauphin will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 131st, while Bishop McDevitt is ranked seventh).
