It was a proper cat-fight when East St. John duked it out withIndependence on Monday. The East St. John Wildcats claimed a resounding 73-10 victory over the Independence Tigers. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 28 points or more this season.

East St. John is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Independence, they dropped their record down to 9-11 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

East St. John didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 50-42 loss against Thibodaux on the 4th. Independence has also already played their next contest, a 55-22 defeat against Loranger on the 4th.
