With a playoff game on the line, the Prosper Eagles rose to the challenge on Friday. Everything went their way against Lake Highlands as Prosper made off with a 44-24 victory. Considering Prosper has won five matches by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Nathan Tenbarge looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 157 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Robinson, who rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.
The victory was the ninth in a row for Prosper, bringing their record for this year to 11-1. As for Lake Highlands, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.
Prosper will square off against North Crowley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Crowley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 matches -- so hopefully Prosper likes a good challenge. Lake Highlands does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
