On Wednesday, Amistad beat Shelton 43-34.
LaShaya Patterson was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Johnae McFadden was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Amistad now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Shelton, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Amistad will finish 2023 at home by hosting Woodstock Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Shelton, they will head out on the road to face off against Career Magnet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
