Sam Vanneste and Noah Schafer made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Vanneste struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Schafer didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. At bat, Vanneste got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Schafer scored a run while going 2-for-5.
