Softball Recap: Shore Regional Has No Trouble Against Ocean Township

While Shore Regional didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against the Ocean Township Spartans on Thursday as they made off with a 19-9 win. Considering the Blue Devils have won seven contests by more than eight runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Shore Regional is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Ocean Township, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Shore Regional has already played their next game, a 12-0 win against Long Branch on the 25th. As for Ocean Township, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 18-0 victory against Freehold Boro on the 25th.
