Carter Jaeger Tops All Others This Week
Starting off the list is Sterling's Carter Jaeger, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Jaeger's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 140 rushing yards dating back to last season. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run.
The victory was the third in a row for Sterling, bringing their record for this year to 4-1. Jaeger and Sterling will venture away from home to face off against Brush at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Brush Gets a Boost from Rico in 47-12 Win
Eric Rico put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in October of 2023 on Friday. He rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, and also threw for 113 yards and a touchdown on only eight passes. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making a tackle and defending a pass in addition to snagging two interceptions both of which were returned for touchdowns.
With the win, Brush broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-4. Rico and Brush will face off against Sterling at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Jace Cornelius put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in September of 2023 on Friday. He rushed for 146 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 95-yard run.
Weld Central now has a winning record of 3-2. Cornelius and Weld Central will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on The Academy at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.

Axton Haswell's Big Game Leads Brush over Arvada
Axton Haswell posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble, making two total tackles, and defending a pass.

Hunter Hershfeldt Makes It Two for Sterling
The second Sterling player making an appearance here is Hunter Hershfeldt, and for good reason. He rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 65 yards.
This season, Hershfeldt has run in those 1 touchdown while averaging 25.8 rushing yards per game.
