It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Dunbar Wildcats had no problem doing just that on Monday. They put the hurt on the Yellowjackets with a sharp 66-40 victory. Dunbar has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 20 points or more this season.
Dunbar's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ariel Duran, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Duran has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jordan McIntosh, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
The victory (which was Dunbar's tenth in a row) raised their record to 22-8. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36 points. As for Ferris, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-17.
Dunbar's road trip will continue as they head out to face Van Alstyne on February 15th. Ferris does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
