The Crittenden County Rockets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell 61-49 to Dawson Springs. Crittenden County has not had much luck with Dawson Springs recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
It was another big night for Rex Blue, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and five assists for Dawson Springs. Blue hasn't dropped below 15points for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Casey Fain, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Crittenden County's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Dawson Springs, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crittenden County will take on McLean County at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Dawson Springs won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Hopkins County Central at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Hopkins County Central is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
