The Owyhee Braves won the last time they faced the Pahranagat Valley Panthers, and things went their way on Saturday too. Owyhee came out on top against Pahranagat Valley by a score of 37-30. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Owyhee.
Pahranagat Valley's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Roxi Hughes, who scored 12 points along with 6 steals. Hughes scored a full 40% of Pahranagat Valley's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Faith Griffin was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
Owyhee's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Pahranagat Valley, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Owyhee is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Truckee at 6:30 p.m. on December 6th. As for Pahranagat Valley, they will take on Battle Mountain at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
