The Pocola Indians put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Heavener at home to the tune of 73-45. Pocola has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matches by 20 points or more this season.
Despite the loss, Heavener still got an impressive performance from Bryce Morrison, who scored 15 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Zaid Rodriguez, who scored eight points.
Pocola's win was their 14th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-0. As for Heavener, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.
Pocola will head out on the road to take on Talihina at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Talihina has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Heavener, they will be playing at home against Wilburton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
