The Oakville Acorns lost against the Pe Ell Trojans back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Oakville fell 39-26 to Pe Ell. Oakville has not had much luck with Pe Ell recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Oakville still got an impressive performance from Alyssa Forsythe, who scored 5 points along with 7 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Andrea Mendez, who scored 6 points.
Oakville's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Pe Ell, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Oakville will head out on the road to face off against Willapa Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Pe Ell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mary M. Knight at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
