Fayette County took a nine-run defeat the last time they faced off against Lamar County, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Fayette County Tigers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Lamar County Bulldogs 5-3. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The victory got Fayette County back to even at 6-6. As for Lamar County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.

Fayette County has already played their next matchup, a 12-0 loss against Hamilton on the 11th. As for Lamar County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-4 defeat against Gordo on the 11th.
