Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Hopkinton's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Hopkinton won the last time they faced North Attleborough and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Hillers walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Rocketeers.

James Hayward was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Mitch Simulis, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Hopkinton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for North Attleborough, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Hopkinton will host Millis at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Mohawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.38 runs per game on average), something the Hillers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for North Attleborough, they will venture away from home to challenge Natick at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.
